Delicious apple crisp pizza recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Pre-made pizza dough, 1 pound
  • Granny Smith apples, 3 medium, peeled and sliced
  • Brown sugar, 1/2 cup
  • All-purpose flour, 1/4 cup
  • Rolled oats, 1/4 cup
  • Butter, cold and cubed, 1/4 cup (2 ounces)
  • Cinnamon, 1 teaspoon
  • Caramel sauce, 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  2. Step 2: Roll out the pizza dough to fit the prepared pan. Dock the dough several times with a fork to prevent it from puffing up too much during baking.
  3. Step 3: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, and cold cubed butter. Use a pastry blender or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Step 5: Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pizza dough. Sprinkle the oat crumble topping evenly over the apples.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apple crisp topping is nicely browned. Let cool slightly before drizzling with caramel sauce and serving.

Notes

  • Store leftover Apple Crisp Pizza in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 days; it's delicious cold too!
  • To reheat, warm individual slices in a toaster oven or regular oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes until heated through; avoid microwaving to keep the crust crisp.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra decadent treat.
  • For a richer crumble, chill the butter-flour-oats mixture for 15 minutes before sprinkling it over the apples – this helps the butter stay cold and create flakier crumbles during baking.
