- Feta cheese, crumbled: 4 ounces
- Lemon: 1, zested and juiced
- Olive oil: 3 tablespoons
- Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
- Fresh oregano, chopped: 1 tablespoon
- Red pepper flakes: 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper: To taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: In a bowl, combine the prawns, feta cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 3: Toss the prawns well to ensure they are evenly coated with the mixture.
- Step 4: Spread the prawn mixture in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
- Step 5: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the prawns are pink and cooked through and the feta is slightly melted and golden.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For best results, gently reheat the prawns in a skillet over medium-low heat to prevent them from becoming rubbery.
- Serve these baked prawns with a side of crusty bread to soak up all the delicious lemon-feta sauce.
- Don't overcrowd the baking dish; bake in batches if necessary to ensure the prawns cook evenly and develop a beautiful golden crust.
