Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Step 3: Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and pour the balsamic mixture evenly over them, ensuring each breast is coated.
- Step 4: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). You can use a meat thermometer to check.
- Step 5: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chicken breast.
Notes
- Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in the microwave or oven to avoid drying out the chicken; a touch of extra balsamic vinegar helps restore moisture.
- Serve this balsamic baked chicken over a bed of roasted vegetables or alongside a fresh, vibrant salad for a complete and balanced meal.
- For extra flavor depth, marinate the chicken in the balsamic mixture for at least 30 minutes before baking.
