Delicious beetlejuice mini trifles recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Cake Mix: 1 box (plus ingredients called for on box)
  • Pistachio Pudding Mix: 1 (3.4 ounce) box
  • Milk: 2 cups
  • Cool Whip: 1 (8 ounce) container, thawed
  • Green Food Coloring: 10-15 drops
  • Chocolate Sandwich Cookies: 1 package (crushed)
  • Gummy Worms: 1 package

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Bake the chocolate cake according to package directions. Let cool completely, then crumble into small pieces.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the pistachio pudding according to package directions, using the milk. Stir in the green food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  3. Step 3: In small trifle bowls or clear cups, layer the crumbled chocolate cake, then the green pistachio pudding, and then a layer of Cool Whip.
  4. Step 4: Sprinkle crushed chocolate sandwich cookies on top of the Cool Whip layer to resemble dirt.
  5. Step 5: Garnish each trifle with a few gummy worms, strategically placed to look like they are crawling out of the "dirt".

Notes

  • Keep the assembled trifles chilled until ready to serve, as the Cool Whip softens quickly at room temperature.
  • These are best enjoyed cold, so there is no need to reheat them.
  • Serve these spooky trifles in clear glasses to showcase the eerie layers.
  • For extra "dirt" texture, pulse some of the crushed chocolate cookies in a food processor for a finer crumb.
