Delicious broccoli and cheese tater tots recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Frozen Tater Tots: 20 ounces
  • Frozen Broccoli Florets: 10 ounces
  • Cheddar Cheese, shredded: 1 1/2 cups
  • Cream Cheese, softened: 4 ounces
  • Milk: 1/4 cup
  • Garlic Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, or until heated through and lightly golden, flipping halfway through.
  2. Step 2: While the tater tots are baking, steam or microwave the broccoli florets until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Roughly chop the cooked broccoli into smaller pieces.
  3. Step 3: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Step 4: Gently stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped broccoli into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Step 5: Remove the tater tots from the oven. Evenly spread the broccoli and cheese mixture over the top of the baked tater tots.
  6. Step 6: Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For best results, reheat in a toaster oven or air fryer to re-crisp the tater tots.
  • Serve these cheesy tots as a fun side dish or appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or sriracha mayo.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet; for crispier tots, bake in batches if needed to ensure even browning.
