- Cooked and mashed potatoes: 3 cups
- Shredded cheddar cheese: 1 cup
- Milk: 1/4 cup
- Butter: 2 tablespoons
- All-purpose flour: 1/2 cup
- Egg: 1 large
- Garlic powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt and pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, milk, melted butter, flour, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Step 3: Spoon the mashed potato mixture into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cup almost to the top.
- Step 4: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff bites are golden brown and set.
- Step 5: Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before carefully removing and serving warm.
Notes
- Store leftover puff bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, bake the puff bites at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes until warmed through, or microwave in 30-second intervals.
- Serve these cheesy bites with a dollop of sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce for an extra flavorful appetizer.
