- 1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 box (6 oz) Stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup Butter, melted
- 1 can (10.75 oz) Cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Sour cream
- 1/4 cup Chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix and melted butter. Toss to coat. Set aside 1/2 cup of the mixture for topping.
- Step 3: In another bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, onion, and pepper.
- Step 4: Spread half of the stuffing mixture in the prepared baking dish. Top with the chicken pieces, then spread the soup mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Step 5: Sprinkle the remaining stuffing mixture over the top.
- Step 6: Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden brown. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat individual portions in the microwave, adding a splash of milk if the stuffing seems dry.
- Serve with a side of steamed green beans or a crisp garden salad for a complete meal.
- For extra flavor, consider browning the chopped onion in a little butter before adding it to the soup mixture.
