Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pitted dates, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup pistachio nuts, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons almond butter (or any nut butter)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Combine the chopped dates, cocoa powder, chopped pistachios, rolled oats, almond butter, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a food processor.
- Step 2: Process until the mixture is well combined and forms a sticky dough. If it's too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until it comes together.
- Step 3: Roll the dough into small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
- Step 4: Place the balls on a plate lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Step 5: Once firm, you can optionally roll the balls in extra chopped pistachios for added decoration.
- Step 6: Store the Dubai Chocolate Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
- Store these delightful treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain their freshness and prevent them from drying out.
- For a warm, gooey center, gently microwave individual balls for 5-10 seconds before serving.
- Serve these Dubai Chocolate Balls with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or alongside a strong cup of Arabic coffee for a truly decadent experience.
- To prevent the mixture from becoming too sticky, ensure your dates are thoroughly chopped before adding them to the food processor.
