- 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 4 New England-style hot dog buns, split and toasted
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and Old Bay seasoning.
- Step 2: Gently mix all the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Step 3: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more lemon juice, Old Bay, or mayonnaise to your preference.
- Step 4: Lightly butter the inside of the toasted hot dog buns.
- Step 5: Evenly divide the shrimp mixture among the four buns, filling each bun generously.
- Step 6: Serve immediately and enjoy your incredible East Coast Shrimp Rolls!
Notes
- For best flavor, chill the shrimp mixture for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
- Reheating isn't recommended, as it can make the mayo watery; enjoy these rolls fresh for the ultimate seafood experience!
- Serve these shrimp rolls with a side of crispy kettle-cooked potato chips and a cold, crisp pickle spear for a complete East Coast treat.
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of mustard, like a grainy or honey Dijon, for a unique twist on the classic flavor.
