Delicious easter dirt cake recipe recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Oreo cookies, crushed: 1 package (about 39 cookies)
  • Cream cheese, softened: 8 ounces
  • Unsalted butter, softened: 1/2 cup (1 stick)
  • Powdered sugar: 3 cups
  • Cool Whip, thawed: 8 ounces
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Milk: 2 tablespoons
  • Gummy worms and Easter candy: as needed for decoration

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or by placing them in a large zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin. Set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until well combined and smooth. Add the vanilla extract and milk and mix well.
  4. Step 4: Gently fold in the Cool Whip until fully incorporated and the mixture is light and fluffy.
  5. Step 5: In a clear bowl or trifle dish, layer the crushed Oreo cookies and the cream cheese mixture, starting and ending with a layer of crushed Oreos.
  6. Step 6: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld. Before serving, decorate the top with gummy worms and Easter candy.

Notes

  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but the Oreo cookies will soften over time.
  • This dessert is best served chilled, so there's no need to reheat it.
  • Present your Easter Dirt Cake in individual clear cups for an extra festive and portable treat.
  • For an even smoother cream cheese filling, ensure your cream cheese and butter are completely softened before mixing.
