Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1/4 cup milk (or more, as needed)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter and powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly until well combined. The mixture will be quite thick.
- Step 2: Stir in the quick-cooking oats, chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips. If using, add the shredded coconut.
- Step 3: Gradually add milk, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the mixture reaches a consistency that allows you to easily roll it into balls. You may not need all the milk.
- Step 4: Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
- Step 5: Place the finished "Moose Farts" on a plate or wax paper to set. They will firm up as they sit. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to fully set.
Notes
- Store these delightful treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week to maintain their freshness.
- For a slightly softer texture, let them sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.
- Serve these Moose Farts alongside a glass of cold milk for a truly satisfying treat, or add them to your favorite ice cream sundae.
- To prevent the mixture from becoming too sticky, add the milk very gradually and mix thoroughly between additions.
