Delicious fourth of july chocolate-dipped pretzels recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Pretzel Rods: 1 bag (10-12 rods)
  • White Chocolate Chips: 12 ounces
  • Blue Candy Melts: 4 ounces
  • Red Candy Melts: 4 ounces
  • Patriotic Sprinkles: 1/4 cup
  • Vegetable Shortening: 1 tablespoon
  • Parchment Paper: 1 roll

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will prevent the pretzels from sticking once the chocolate sets.
  2. Step 2: In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the white chocolate chips, blue candy melts, and red candy melts. Add 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable shortening to each bowl to help the chocolate melt smoothly. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Step 3: Dip each pretzel rod into the melted white chocolate, covering about 2/3 of the pretzel. Let the excess chocolate drip off. Place the dipped pretzel onto the prepared parchment paper.
  4. Step 4: While the white chocolate is still wet, drizzle melted red and blue candy melts over the white chocolate. You can use a fork or a piping bag for this step.
  5. Step 5: Immediately sprinkle patriotic sprinkles over the wet chocolate before it sets.
  6. Step 6: Allow the chocolate-dipped pretzels to set completely at room temperature, or you can speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.

Notes

  • Store finished pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain their snap.
  • If the chocolate gets too firm for drizzling, microwave it in 10-second intervals, stirring well.
  • Serve these festive treats in a tall glass or mug for an eye-catching display.
  • For vibrant colors, use gel food coloring to tint white chocolate instead of relying solely on candy melts.
