  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Dice the tomatoes and finely chop the onion.
  2. Step 2: Seed and mince the jalapeño pepper. Be careful not to touch your eyes after handling jalapeños.
  3. Step 3: Combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced jalapeño, and chopped cilantro in a medium-sized bowl.
  4. Step 4: Add the minced garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  5. Step 5: Stir all ingredients together thoroughly until well combined.
  6. Step 6: Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, adding more salt, pepper, or lime juice to your preference. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.
