Delicious greek feta salad tower recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Feta cheese block, 8 ounces
  • Cherry tomatoes, 1 pint
  • Kalamata olives, pitted, 1/2 cup
  • Cucumber, 1 medium
  • Red onion, 1/4 medium
  • Fresh oregano, 2 tablespoons chopped
  • Extra virgin olive oil, 3 tablespoons
  • Red wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Slice the cucumber into 1/4-inch thick rounds. Thinly slice the red onion. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, and Kalamata olives.
  3. Step 3: Gently toss the vegetables with the chopped fresh oregano, extra virgin olive oil, and red wine vinegar.
  4. Step 4: On a serving plate, place the block of feta cheese.
  5. Step 5: Spoon the vegetable mixture over the top of the feta cheese, creating a "tower" effect. Drizzle any remaining olive oil from the bowl over the salad.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.

Notes

  • To prevent the feta from getting soggy, add the vegetable mixture just before serving.
  • For optimal flavor, avoid reheating; this salad is best enjoyed fresh and vibrant.
  • Serve this tower as a show-stopping appetizer or a light and refreshing lunch option.
  • Try using a vegetable peeler to create long, thin ribbons of cucumber for a more elegant look.
