Instructions

  1. Step 1: Whisk together the eggs, milk, alcohol-free vanilla extract, cinnamon, and optional sugar in a shallow dish or pie plate until the mixture is uniform and slightly frothy.
  2. Step 2: Heat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt and coat the surface.
  3. Step 3: Take each Hawaiian roll individually and quickly dip both sides into the egg mixture. Due to the delicate nature of the rolls, avoid prolonged soaking, which can cause them to disintegrate.
  4. Step 4: Place the coated rolls onto the heated skillet, ensuring they have room between them. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, turning with tongs, until each roll is golden brown and cooked through.
