Delicious honey garlic butter shrimp and broccoli: an incredible 5-ingredient recipe recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly tender-crisp. Remove broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Step 3: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  4. Step 4: Pour in the honey and soy sauce. Stir to combine the honey mixture with the butter and garlic. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Step 5: Add the cooked broccoli back into the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss everything together to coat evenly.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately over rice or noodles, if desired.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • For best results, gently reheat the shrimp and broccoli in a skillet over medium-low heat with a splash of water or broth to prevent drying.
  • Serve this dish over quinoa for a healthy and protein-packed meal.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the shrimp; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking and a beautiful sear.
