Delicious lemon garlic green beans with parmesan recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Fresh green beans: 1 pound
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon zest: 1 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese: 1/4 cup, grated
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them thoroughly.
  2. Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Step 3: Add the green beans to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender.
  4. Step 4: Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute to combine the flavors.
  5. Step 5: Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Toss to coat.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, quickly sauté the green beans in a pan with a touch more olive oil to restore their crispness.
  • This dish makes a lovely side for grilled chicken, fish, or pasta dishes.
  • Don't overcook the garlic – fragrant is good, burnt is bitter!
