Ingredients
- Twinkies, sliced with measurement: 10
- Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix with measurement: 3.4 ounces
- Milk with measurement: 3 cups
- Heavy Whipping Cream with measurement: 1 cup
- Powdered Sugar with measurement: 2 tablespoons
- Vanilla Extract with measurement: 1 teaspoon
- Cream Cheese, softened with measurement: 4 ounces
- Cool Whip, thawed with measurement: 8 ounces
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Step 3: Gently fold the sweetened cream cheese mixture into the vanilla pudding until completely combined. Then, gently fold in the Cool Whip.
- Step 4: Line the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish with half of the sliced Twinkies.
- Step 5: Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the Twinkies. Top with the remaining Twinkies, and then spread the remaining pudding mixture over the top.
- Step 6: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the cake to set and the flavors to meld.
Notes
- Store leftover cake covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheating isn't necessary; enjoy this cake chilled straight from the fridge!
- Garnish individual slices with fresh berries for a pop of color and flavor.
- For extra stability and a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese and whole milk.
