Delicious oreo eyeball truffles recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 16 ounces white chocolate, melted
  • Green candy melts
  • Blue candy melts
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Red food coloring
  • Black food coloring

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Finely crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or by placing them in a resealable bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, mix the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Roll the Oreo mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted white chocolate, coating completely. Place back on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  5. Step 5: While the white chocolate is still wet, create the "iris" of the eyeball by adding a small amount of melted green or blue candy melts to the center. Add a mini chocolate chip to the center of the candy melt to create the pupil. Use a toothpick and small dabs of red food coloring to make small veins across the white chocolate.
  6. Step 6: Let the truffles set completely in the refrigerator before serving. Use black food coloring and a toothpick to add details to the truffles if desired.

Notes

  • Store these spooky treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week to keep them firm and fresh.
  • Reheating isn't recommended, but if the chocolate blooms (develops a white coating), a gentle wipe with a soft cloth can help restore the shine.
  • Serve these Oreo Eyeball Truffles on a platter alongside other Halloween treats for a truly ghoulish display.
  • For a smoother truffle, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing with the crushed Oreos.
