Ingredients

  • Ground turkey: 1 pound
  • Turkey bacon: 8 slices, cooked and crumbled

  • Lasagna noodles: 9 oven-ready noodles
  • Ricotta cheese: 15 ounces
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese: 2 cups
  • Grated Parmesan cheese: 1/2 cup
  • Dried Italian seasoning: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, brown ground turkey over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Step 2: Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the cooked and crumbled turkey bacon.
  3. Step 3: In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese.
  4. Step 4: Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Layer 3 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then top with 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers: meat sauce, noodles, ricotta, mozzarella. Top with the final 3 noodles, remaining meat sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Step 5: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the lasagna is heated through.
  6. Step 6: Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
