Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup grape jelly
- 1 large ripe banana, mashed
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, combine peanut butter, jelly, mashed banana, egg, and milk. Mix until well combined.
- Step 4: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Step 5: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 6: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Store leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
- For a warm, gooey treat, reheat slices briefly in the microwave or toaster oven.
- Serve warm slices with a dollop of extra peanut butter and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt for an elevated taste experience.
- To prevent the bread from becoming too dense, avoid overmixing the batter; a few lumps are okay!
