- Ground beef: 2 pounds
- Onion, chopped: 1 medium
- Green bell pepper, chopped: 1 medium
- Provolone cheese slices: 6-8 slices
- Hoagie rolls, toasted: 4
- Worcestershire sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Breadcrumbs: 1 cup
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, chopped green bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and breadcrumbs. Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Step 2: Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
- Step 3: Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Step 4: Remove the meatloaf from the oven and top with provolone cheese slices.
- Step 5: Return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Step 6: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve on toasted hoagie rolls.
