Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chopped pistachios, cocoa powder, butter, and salt. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a gentle simmer.
  2. Step 2: Reduce the heat to low and continue to stir constantly for 8-10 minutes, or until the mixture thickens significantly and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan. If using chocolate chips, add them during the last 2 minutes of cooking and stir until melted and incorporated.
