Ingredients
Scale
- Cream cheese, softened 8 oz
- Shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup
- Shredded Monterey Jack cheese 1 cup
- Garlic powder 1 tsp
- Onion powder 1 tsp
- Paprika 1/2 tsp
- Chopped pecans 1/2 cup
- Pretzels sticks for stem (amount depends on cheese ball size)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Step 2: Form the cheese mixture into a ball shape.
- Step 3: Spread the chopped pecans evenly onto a plate or shallow dish. Roll the cheese ball in the pecans until completely coated.
- Step 4: Refrigerate the cheese ball for at least 2 hours to allow it to firm up.
- Step 5: Just before serving, insert pretzel sticks into the top of the cheese ball to create a pumpkin stem. Serve with crackers, vegetables, or apple slices.
Notes
- Store any leftover cheese ball tightly wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- This cheese ball is best served cold, so no reheating is needed!
- Serve with an assortment of crackers, crisp apple slices, and colorful veggie sticks for a festive presentation.
- For easier shaping, chill the cheese mixture for 30 minutes before rolling into a ball, and use slightly damp hands.
