Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons (3 ounces) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Flaky sea salt, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, honey, heavy cream, sea salt, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
- Step 3: Pour the honey mixture into the cooled graham cracker crust.
- Step 4: Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the filling to set completely.
- Step 5: Before serving, garnish with flaky sea salt, if desired.
Notes
- Store leftover pie, tightly covered, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; its flavor actually deepens slightly.
- For a slightly warmer, more decadent experience, let the pie sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.
- Serve this pie with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream for an extra touch of sweetness and cool contrast.
- To ensure a perfectly smooth filling, make sure your honey is completely liquid before whisking it in with the other ingredients; gently warming it in a small saucepan might be necessary.
