Delicious white chocolate orange creamsicle truffles recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • White chocolate chips: 12 ounces
  • Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
  • Orange extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Orange zest: 1 tablespoon
  • Powdered sugar: 1/4 cup
  • Butter, unsalted: 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract: 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a heat-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, butter, and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  2. Step 2: Stir in the orange extract, vanilla extract, and orange zest until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the chocolate mixture to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, until firm enough to roll.
  4. Step 4: Once firm, use a small spoon or melon baller to scoop out portions of the mixture. Roll each portion into a ball using your hands.
  5. Step 5: Roll the truffles in powdered sugar to coat.
  6. Step 6: Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For best flavor and texture, store these truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy them within 5 days.
  • If the truffles become too firm after refrigeration, let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for a slightly softer bite.
  • Serve these decadent truffles chilled alongside a cup of hot cocoa or coffee for a delightful contrast.
  • Gently warm the orange zest in a dry pan for a minute before adding to the chocolate; this intensifies the citrus flavor beautifully.
